Canoeists encounter a single bull elephant in a narrow channel on the Zambezi. This photo was taken in the early evening with the Zambian escarpment forming a massive backdrop - an unforgettable experience! | ||

With the Zambezi flowing at a reasonably placid 4 km/hour, canoeing on the Lower Zambezi below Lake Kariba is not a fitness test...it does however provide one of the best opportunities to experience the wilderness of Mana Pools, its wildlife and diverse bird populations. | ||
