Highlights
- Selinda Camp is situated in a private game viewing area, and consists of only 7 spacious thatched tents. Each tent has a reed en-suite bathroom for a unique outdoor experience and its own private game viewing deck. The main camp consists of a two-tiered dining, lounge and reading area and plunge pool.
- Zibadianja Camp is a quality camp has four large and luxuriously appointed double or twin “marquis style” tents that accommodate a maximum of 6 Guests. It is perfect for small groups who are looking for privacy. Each tent comprises a spacious bedroom, an en suite bathroom with copper bath & shower, and an outdoor shower as well as a separate and comfortable lounge. A large shady veranda is standard as are private pools, overhead fans and mosquito nets.
- Both camps have extensive views across palm dotted floodplains and have a bar and curio shop
- There's a high degree of flexibility in the reserve and several safari formats are possible including: traditional mobile tented camping; game monitoring (at full moon); backed up walking trails; boating (dependent on water levels); game drives in open vehicles.
- The Selinda Reserve is well known for its open plains, abundant wildlife and healthy population of predators.
Best time of the year
- This safari runs all year.
- March, April, May and November are relatively quiet in terms of visitor numbers.
- Our peak
season coincides with the dry season from July to October when the game is most concentrated.
- October is traditionally regarded as the best game viewing month - it's also the hottest.
- March, April and November are best for birding enthusiasts
- High
season is from July to October inclusive and over the festive season
- Mid
season includes April, May, June, and November to 20 December
- Low
season is from January 10 to end March
Best Access
- There are direct flights into Maun from Johannesburg and Harare and via links through Gabarone, Windhoek, Victoria Falls,
Livingstone, Nairobi, Dar-es-Salaam, Lilongwe and Lusaka.

Tips and notes
- Game is consistent year round; photographic opportunities are excellent especially at dawn and dusk.
- Best birding in the green season is from mid October to April
- This short
trip is ideally combined with our Okavango and Chobe trips to make up a 10
day Botswana Safari...remember to ask us about best options when you're
planning your trip.
- This safari is easily combined with Victoria Falls and Hwange, the Kafue or the Luangwa and Lower Zambezi Valleys.
- Access to the Selinda is by light aircraft - baggage allowances are restricted to 12kg in soft bags, special allowance for additional photographic equipment must be
arranged in advance.
