HighlightsThe Selinda Safari Reserve Botswana

  • Selinda Camp is situated in a private game viewing area, and consists of only 7 spacious thatched tents. Each tent has a reed en-suite bathroom for a unique outdoor experience and its own private game viewing deck. The main camp consists of a two-tiered dining, lounge and reading area and plunge pool.
  • Zibadianja Camp is a quality camp has four large and luxuriously appointed double or twin “marquis style” tents that accommodate a maximum of 6 Guests. It is perfect for small groups who are looking for privacy. Each tent comprises a spacious bedroom, an en suite bathroom with copper bath & shower, and an outdoor shower as well as a separate and comfortable lounge. A large shady veranda is standard as are private pools, overhead fans and mosquito nets.
  • Both camps have extensive views across palm dotted floodplains and have a bar and curio shop
  • There's a high degree of flexibility in the reserve and several safari formats are possible including: traditional mobile tented camping; game monitoring (at full moon); backed up walking trails; boating (dependent on water levels); game drives in open vehicles.
  • The Selinda Reserve is well known for its open plains, abundant wildlife and healthy population of predators.

Best time of the year

  • This safari runs all year.
  • March, April, May and November are relatively quiet in terms of visitor numbers.
  • Our peak season coincides with the dry season from July to October when the game is most concentrated.
  • October is traditionally regarded as the best game viewing month - it's also the hottest.
  • March, April and November are best for birding enthusiasts
  • High season is from July to October inclusive and over the festive season
  • Mid season includes April, May, June, and November to 20 December
  • Low season is from January 10 to end March

Tips and notes

  • Game is consistent year round; photographic opportunities are excellent especially at dawn and dusk.
  • Best birding in the green season is from mid October to April
  • This short trip is ideally combined with our Okavango and Chobe trips to make up a 10 day Botswana Safari...remember to ask us about best options when you're planning your trip.
